How do you transfer my domain name to your company?
You do not need to transfer your name, all you need to do is change the Name Server settings at your domain registrar. When you sign-up we will send you the correct name server setting information.
These are 2 most common scenarios:
1) If you have a new domain name or you are not using your existing domain name on a web site, then just change your DNS settings at your registrar to our DNS server and your web site will respond to your domain name.
2) If you are using your domain name on an existing web site then do not change the DNS settings initially. First sign-up and copy your web pages to our server and test your new web site (you are assigned a temporary name).  Then only after you are satisfied with your new web site then change the DNS settings with your domain registrar to your new web site. This way you have no downtime on your web site.

How many products can 100 Mb hold?
We estimate 100Mb can hold about 2,000 products. This of course can vary greatly. Here are some estimates. A 100 page web site may use about 4 Mb. A database for 1,500 items maybe 5 Mb. The largest space user is the images. If you have 1,500 images with an average size of 50k then it will use 75 Mb. 50K is a large image. A thumbnail maybe only 15K so if most of your images are thumbnails then you may hold about 5,000 products.

What does "unlimited e-mail accounts to one box mean?
This allows any mail box with your domain name to go to one mail box. For example if make sales@yourname.com, John@yourname.com and support@yourname.com, all these e-mails and any other you make will go to your postmaster@yourname.com. You then download all your messages from your postmaster email box

Why do you use Windows servers verses Linux/Unix ?
As web servers both servers work great. We use Windows servers because we feel for E-commerce sites for small to middle size businesses Microsoft Access is the best database to use. Most customers have Microsoft Access on their desktop computer there is much more support available for Access in the bookstores and with other software programmers.  Plus it is easier to scale an Access database to an SQL database.

How is the security on your server?
We continually maintain our servers to the latest security updates. But more importantly we designed our system so important data is not stored on our server but is downloaded to your own computer. Therefore even if there was a security breach there is nothing important to look at. For example all credit card information is not stored but can be reset as frequently as you wish. All sales order data is downloadable and the database can be reset.

What merchant accounts can be used with the shopping cart?
Any merchant account can be used. Customer credit card information is recorded to a secure file. The merchant retrieves this information and then it can be entered into any merchant account. This can be used with PayPal or similar. For online real-time processing only compatible merchant account and bank processors can be used.
